Commissioned Relic Jewelry
by Rolling Gypsy
I accept a limited number of commissioned relic-style jewelry orders throughout the year. These works are created slowly and intuitively, guided by story, symbolism, and sculptural form. Each piece is crafted in copper and solder - may also incorporate other natural elements.
Commissioned relic pieces are artist-led. Rather than exact replicas or predefined designs, each piece unfolds organically through process — allowing the work to become what it needs to be.
What to Expect
How My Commissions Work
-
Each commissioned piece is one-of-a-kind
-
Created in my distinct relic / sculptural style
-
Designed to feel unearthed, timeworn, and meaningful
-
Focused on form, texture, and presence rather than perfection
These are not trend-based pieces or traditional “custom jewelry.”
They are wearable sculptures, shaped through experimentation and patience.
To begin a commission, I’ll ask a few guiding questions such as:
-
Is the piece for yourself or someone else?
-
Are there themes, memories, or feelings you’re drawn to?
-
Do you prefer a pendant, ring, or bracelet?
I do not work from sketches or exact visual references.
Instead, your responses help inform the spirit of the piece, while I remain free to create within my process.
"Relic jewelry is not about control —
it’s about listening, patience, and allowing form to emerge."

Pricing

Commissioned relic jewelry reflects the time, technical challenge, and creative intensity involved.
-
Commissioned relic pieces typically range from $100–$300
-
Complex sculptural pendants, such as Tree of Life forms, fall at the higher end of the range
Example Commission
Relic Tree of Life Pendant
Artist-led sculptural interpretation
$300

Final pricing is confirmed upon completion, with the remaining balance due once the piece is revealed.
Timing & Payment
-
A non-refundable deposit 50% is required to begin
-
Typical completion time: 2–4 weeks
-
Commissions are created within a time window, not a fixed deadline
Because of the nature of this work, I accept only a small number of commissions at a time.
What I Don’t Offer
To protect the integrity of the work, I do not offer:
-
Exact replicas of previous pieces
-
Unlimited revisions
-
Rush timelines
-
Design-by-committee processes
If you’re drawn to the work and trust the process, the collaboration will feel natural and rewarding.
Commission Inquiries
If you feel a commissioned relic piece is right for you, inquiries are welcome via email or direct message.
Please note:
Not all requests will be accepted. I reserve commissions for projects that align with my creative direction and process.
